People who want to train to be math and science teachers will have a chance to complete their bachelor's degree and teaching certification through a program called UTeach at University of Texas Permian Basin. The first class recently began at UTPB. UTeach started about 25 years ago at University of Texas at Austin and has been replicated throughout the UT System. UTPB Assistant Professor of Math and Science David Sparks said UTPB is the 11th university to adopt the format. 'It's basically a two-year program.
