A national paint company that got its start in the San Francisco area is betting its future on Texas. Kelly-Moore Paint Co. is moving its headquarters from California to Las Colinas. Irving's city council voted Thursday night to give the company financial incentives to support the location of its new office on Carpenter Freeway. The 76-year-old paint company is just the latest California business headed to Texas. The firm for decades has been based in San Carlos south of San Francisco, but opened a North Texas manufacturing plant more than five years ago in Hurst.
